The computer-generated images are then color-separated and outputted to film. The film is then contact printed to silk screens, which I use to print ceramic glazes directly onto tiles. The tiles are then fired, causing the images to fuse with the surface glaze of the tile permanently.

1913 Panoramic of Downtown Kent, Ohio, 1994
This photograph was unearthed at the Kent Historical Society and regenerated to a higher quality and enlarged over 400% to cover a 2 x 8-foot center section of the wall mural installed in the very building that appears in the left of the panoramic.

Around Town, Cleveland, 1996
A tile montage of scenes from downtown Cleveland in the Trolley Era of the early twentieth century was created using photographs on file at the Cleveland Public Library. Each image is printed on a separate tile and cut to fit in a puzzle like composition to create this intriguing wall hanging.
